Medical Director
Dr. Ares-Romero is double board-certified, a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a diplomat of the American Board of Preventive Medicine as a specialist in Addiction Medicine. She is an Associate Professor for the University Of Miami School Of Medicine, for the Department of Psychiatry and Department of Anesthesiology – Pain Medicine Fellowship.
Clinical Director
Anais Torres, LMHC/LPC, brings 18 years in mental health with psychodynamic and medical-psychology training. She trained at Jackson Memorial Hospital in psychiatric units and consultation-liaison services. At Oliver-Pyatt Centers (now Monte Nido Miami), she rose to Clinical Director. In 2018, she founded Braving Vulnerability Counseling, treating eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD, and suicidality. She is the President of IAEDP Miami and an adjunct professor at FIU.
Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI)
Isabella Fermin is a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) from Venezuela with experience in substance use treatment, crisis intervention, and stabilization. Her integrative approach incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Person-Centered Therapy, with a strong commitment to providing a safe, compassionate space that fosters self-discovery and lasting change.
