Hector Berges, known as the “Abuelo,” of the team has been providing addiction and mental health services for almost 40 years. Prior to working with Improving Lives, Hector worked as the Director of Programs for a local non-profit organization, and addictions counselor at a residential addiction treatment facility. Hector assists the team in leading substance abuse groups, and partial hospitalization care. If you want to get on his good side, ask about his baseball card collection or bring up the recent “pelota,” game. Hector brings “old school,” direct, and simple care to our “very complicated,” lives.
